Some times tending to the allotment can be a slog. The endless weeds, the war with slugs and of course, trying to navigate the joy that is the great British weather.
But watching this little chap lovingly attend to his sunflower 🌻 and the joy on his face when he gets to bring home a basket of bounty makes it all worth it.
Anyone else grow sunflowers? Ours just begun to bloom this week.

I have several sunflowers I planted from seed. Then I have a whole patch of sunflowers that grew beneath my bird feeder! My favorite so far are my two Saucer Chocolate Sunflowers! 😊

They are beautiful and they do bring joy but not as much joy as you are gaining through your beautiful boy.
oh yes! miniature, burnt orange and multi headed, you name it…. Two years ago we grew these huge 18 foot high monsters. Love them… and then bloody parakeets tear them to shreds… grrrrr
Once, they were quite charming 😊
Our birds have been very kind this year and have planted dozens!
