Cheryl was tired and could not understand why Lottie was so excited. Her mother had died a few months ago and the house was in the process of being sold. It was a heartbreaking time as she had no siblings to share the load and her father had died years before. Her husband was working nights now as the pay was better and they had to catch up on their bills after Covid. They both knew he was lucky to still have a job.
