Know Your History

Know Your History – 13th January – Bill Bailey

know your history - writingOn this day…

13th January 1965 – Bill Bailey was born.

Ok, so that’s not strictly a literature fact.

But… Bill Bailey has written a book – “The many moods of Bill Bailey”.

He also took part in the amazing channel four comedy “Black Books”.

bbSo I thought he would make a great candidate for todays Know Your History feature. For those unaware of Bill, I would thorough recommend watching a few episodes of Black Books on Netflix or equivalent.

Bill Bailey is an English comedian, musician, actor, TV and radio presenter and author. As well as his extensive stand-up work, Bailey is well known for his role in Black Books and for his appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News for You, and QI.

In 2007 and again in 2010, he was voted the 7th greatest stand-up comic on Channel 4’s 100 Greatest Stand-Ups.
